The universal thread is very powerful!

Comment on The Deer – To All My Relations by PickledRoots https://eboniadamsmonk.com/the-deer-to-all-my-relations/#comment-8 Thu, 20 Sep 2012 02:08:08 +0000 http://pickledroots.com/?p=654#comment-8 In reply to Fenesha.

Fenesha – I agree. Animals can be guides and deliver “messages” or life reminders by their presence in our lives or even our dreams. In Native American and African culture, people have animals as totems to connect with and learn from. I think those staring contests are their way of letting us know that they see us — really see us on a deep soul level. It’s interesting that if we are connected, we can have spiritual experiences with animals in big cities. It’s a reminder that God is truly everywhere.

Comment on The Deer – To All My Relations by Fenesha https://eboniadamsmonk.com/the-deer-to-all-my-relations/#comment-7 Wed, 19 Sep 2012 02:51:20 +0000 http://pickledroots.com/?p=654#comment-7 Thank you for sharing your magical moments. You explain very well how the deer symbolize transformation in various ways for you. In Chicago, I have many magical moments with animals that I sometimes can’t believe myself! Among my favorites are: being in arms reach of a hawk that stared me (or my dogs- prey!) down without flinching, walking upon a family of deer while with my dogs, and being in a mutually intense gaze with a lone male deer that lasted until I told him to leave (and he did!).

I come across so many different animals while out with my dogs in the city. They normally all stop for a staring contest with us. I have adopted birds as my spirit animal guides. I’m curious to know your perspective.
